    Defining Co-Curriculars

    School Programs

Programs that have a direct tie to the curricular day or provide a service back to the student body. School programs can meet before, during or after the school day. All school programs will have access to their own Schoology page, general fund budget, Fund11 account for fundraising, and a stipend for staffing.

Advisor Roles & Responsibilities for School Programs

    Activities

Non-sport programs that compete or perform, often against other schools. All activities will have access to their own Schoology course page, general fund budget, Fund 11 account for fundraising and a stipend for staff advisor.

Advisor Roles & Responsibilities for Activities

    Fine Arts

MSHSL-governed activities that compete or perform with other schools in Region 6AA. Fine Arts programs will have access to their own Schoology page, general fund budget, Fund 11 account for fundraising and a stipend for staffing.

    Independent Provider Programs

An Independent Provider is defined as an individual, group or organization that provides an opportunity for Eden Prairie High School students to participate & compete in an extra-curricular program. The providers are not required to be licensed educators. The Independent Provider status is in effect for one calendar year or one season as determined by the Director of Activities. EPHS will provide a "letter" award if students meet the predetermined criteria submitted with the application for charter. The fee for lettering is $20 (to be submitted to the Activities Office).

    Intramural Sports

EPHS offers several intramural opportunities for students in grades 9-12 with the purpose of providing a safe, enjoyable environment for students of any skill level to participate in a variety of recreational activities. The activities offered are based on student interest and the facilities available for use. Co-ed student involvement is strongly encouraged in most activities. The intramural department is open to any suggestions from students regarding other activities that should be offered.

    School-Sponsored Clubs

Composed of students with similar interests and created with the backing and sponsorship of Eden Prairie High School. They have a direct tie to a classroom course or an established presence within EPHS. Each group has a staff advisor who guides the club and provides direction and leadership for the group in conjunction with the student leadership. School-sponsored clubs can meet before or after school and host events during the school day. School-sponsored clubs will have access to their own Schoology page, Fund 11 account for fundraising, and a stipend for staffing.

    Advisor Roles & Responsibilities

    Student Interest Clubs

Led by students. These clubs provide the opportunity for EPHS students to meet during non-instructional time. Students are required to obtain a staff member to oversee the meeting of the club. Student interest clubs will meet during "Flex time" on Tuesdays during the school year. Student interest clubs must apply annually to maintain their charter status. As these are student-led clubs, the beliefs and viewpoints are not necessarily representative of Eden Prairie High School or District 272. Student-led clubs will have access to their own Schoology page to post upcoming meeting dates, time, location, and other club related info. Student-led clubs may not host fundraisers or events, sell tickets or items to the public or the student body. In order to post a flyer for this school year please fill out this link poster request form
