Science Olympiad
Duration: Oct. 11 - February
Cost: $35
Science Olympiad will start on Wednesday, October 11. A typical CMS Science Olympiad participant is a 6th, 7th or 8th grade student who excels in Science and Problem Solving, desires an extra challenge, and enjoys teamwork-based competition. During the regular season, Science Olympiad Participants compete against each other at practices (on Wednesdays), and against other teams at the regional level with many teams statewide. There is one Regional Competition, for all students on the team. There is plenty to enjoy and have fun with at practices on Wednesdays (plus, students will be invited to join self-guided practice time (using study guides on a Schoology course). Cost includes one t-shirt.
Science Olympiad will meet in Room 715D after school on Wednesdays, ending at 5:00 PM. No Activity Bus is available that early, so parents will need to pick up students or arrange a ride for them.
The advisors for Science Bowl are Cathy Bockenstedt and Bill Prem, plus 2 EPHS Seniors (Aditya and Devh) will be coaching students, as well.
